Cocker Spaniel, Medieval Bestiary Art Postcard

Cocker Spaniel, Medieval Bestiary Art Postcard On a shaded park path lined with blossoms, a golden Cocker Spaniel stands with its long, wavy ears and gentle eyes. Flowering trees and green grass surround it. The scholar's entry says its work is a bright and willing thing, and this spaniel looks happy to walk beside you. That sweet charm of a spaniel on a spring stroll shapes the whole design. A large gold drop cap opens the name COCKER SPANIEL, with a red subtitle, of the Park Path, set beneath it over a small black ornament. A short scholar's entry in old style lettering fills the left column, and a framed window on the right shows the golden Cocker Spaniel standing on a blossom lined park path. A small gold emblem shaped like a blossom marks the lower left corner. Golden coat, blossom pink, and park green glow on a parchment tone page darkened at the edges, wrapped in curling blue and red acanthus vines, red and gold flowers, four little songbirds, and thin gold rails. The reverse continues the manuscript look rather than becoming a plain postcard back. A parchment tone writing field sits inside a blue and gold border with red lozenge ornaments and gold paw print medallions in the corners. At the left, a happy little pug in a red and gold collar sits on a stone ledge below a hilltop castle and a waterfall, and the right side holds POSTCARD lettering, DELIVER TO: address lines, and a PLACE STAMP HERE box. • Golden Cocker Spaniel on a blossom lined park path • Gold drop cap C, red subtitle of the Park Path, and a short scholar's lore entry • Golden, blossom pink, and park green on a parchment tone page with a blue and red floral border • Matching manuscript style back with message, address, and stamp areas • Part of the Medieval Bestiary Postcard Collection from Dog By Breed
