Dance of the Dead F Mug

Dance of the Dead F Mug

Collect these lovely macabre mugs with vintage death art sure to be a greatly apreciated by anyone with a darker sense of humor. This is F in The Alphabet of Death by Hans Holbein, originally published in Lyons in 1538 as part of Holbein's acclaimed Dance of Death. This series of 41 wood engravings was created around 1526 and published 12 years later. Hans Holbeins version of the Dance of Death or Dance Macabre set a new standard and helped change Death in these artworks into a dispenser of justice, denouncing greediness and the abuse of power.

This is a gorgeous mug that makes me feel as though I am outdoors in my Hosta garden, on a beautiful day in Spring! The printing is lovely and sharp just like my painting. I shall be displaying this mug at an exhibition soon!

I love these cups!! I'm glad I ordered them and would definitely order from here again. I got 50 cups and they came within a reasonable time frame.

I designed the mug for my sister because the Gauguin painting holds a special meaning for her. It arrived on time and the overall quality of the mug exceeded my expectations. Vibrant colors, true to the original. I just received, so I can't say how the colors will hold up over time.
