Devil's Den, Gettysburg Mug

In 1863, after a victory in Fredericksburg, General Robert E. Lee moved his troops north into Pennsylvania. Federal and Confederate armies met in Gettysburg for three days. On the second day of battle at the south end of Houck’s Ridge, heavy fighting took place around Devil’s Den. This area provided excellent cover for both artillery and infantry, especially sharpshooters who took aim at the Federals on Little Round Top. On one side of the mug is a vintage 1863 Civil War photo of Devil's Den and a modern day photo from approximately the same camera angle. Both photos are positioned on a dark gray background.
