Diabetic Healthy Eating Easy Portion Control Melamine Plate

This plate, rimmed with proactive terms, offers an easy way for pre-diabetics and diabetics to begin eating better and more mindfully. Simply make half of each meal non-starchy vegetables (fill the green section of the plate), one-quarter of each meal whole grains or starchy vegetables (fill the beige section), one-quarter of each meal a lean protein (fill the salmon-colored section), and add 1 portion of a low-glycemic index fruit (apples, pears, berries, cherries, etc.), if allowed on your program. Use fats sparingly, staying away from saturated fats; no refined sugars; and drink plenty of water and non-sugary liquids. You'll soon be on your way to a healthier life.
