Drum Tower of Xi'An Square Wall Clock

Xi'an Drum Tower is taken in Xi'an, China in the evening. Every Ming-era city in China had a bell tower and a drum tower to help signal the time and mark important events. Located in the center of the ancient city of Xi'an are two of its most famous examples. The buildings are built in the architectural style of the Ming dynasty and are quite colorful. The Drum Tower got its name from the huge drums located within the building. In contrast to the Bell Tower, where the bell was stricken at dawn, the drums were beaten at sunset to indicate the end of the day.
