About This Design

Fade to Rust Fabric

I created this richly textured pattern from a photo I took several years ago on a trip along the Oregon coast. One of my favorite stops was to see the wreck of the Peter Iredale, an abandoned ship that has been sitting, slowly being eaten by the sea, for many years now. It won't be long before the skeleton of this ship has rusted away to nothing, so I'm very glad I captured this colorful, richly textured photo of her noble remains.

This fabric was perfect. Easy to cut and is exactly as pictured. It was better than I imagined it to be. The colors were great. Very clear. I’m very satisfied with it and would recommend to everyone looking for custom fabric.

The sample image online does not do the fabric justice. When I received it in the mail and unfolded the fabric I was astounded at the beauty of this pattern. I made a corset with just the front panels with the fabric everything else was black and I got to say I love my new corset. I have plenty of fabric to make a couple small pouches but whatever else small accessories I want to make. I'm pretty sure I might be buying more of this traffic later.

I used this fabric with a shiny black fabric on the back to make several throw pillows for myself and other members of the Moran "clan!" Fabric is a bit stiff but that just made it easier to cut and work with as far as pillows are concerned. Colors were as expected and lines were fairly clean. Just what I expected!
