Frederic Remington's The Cowboy (1902) Mouse Pad

A classic artwork that has passed into the public domain and makes wonderful gifts and other products. An iconic image, the pose here is one of those most associated with Remington. He was one of the first to perfect the painting of riders on horses in motion such as seen here. Remington was the foremost illustrator, painter, and sculptor of the American West at the close of the frontier era, at the end of the 19th century. His sculptures of cowboys are iconic, and his painting of cowboys, Indians, soldiers and frontiersmen were highly popular during his lifetime and have only become more so in the century since. All of our products are made with large scale images that have been carefully edited to provide the best resolution, color and detail possible.
