Guilloché Security Cheque Background Symmetry

Surprisingly, perhaps, this abstract symmetrical pattern is based on a photo of a glass domes ceiling, with a bit of Photoshop layers and mixes, it turned into something that reminds me of guilloché engraved security printing lathework often seen on banknotes and cheques (that's "bills" and "checks" for those of the American persuasion). As such, it makes a nice background for other text if you want a hint of that faux banknote look in a subtly blue colour. I usually like making my symmetrical patterns from photos and paintings rather than digitally as it makes for more a more organic look, with a richness and variety both in colour and texture that it's hard to replicate digitally. Still, I think it's possible to make interesting ones digitally too - if done in the right way.
