Hand Powered Sewing Machine Label
Hand powered sewing machines could be found in almost every house at one time. Sewing skills were passed down from mother to daughter for generations. Today the sewing machine may be housed in a sewing room and the seamstress happily making gifts, clothing and perhaps quilts. The hand powered sewing machine has earned its place in Americana. As a boy I can remember listening to the soft clickety click of the hand powered sewing machine as my grandmother was sewing and I played on the floor. But hand powered sewing machines were not exclusive to the woman of the house. Dressmakers, tailors, seamstresses, couturiers and clothing manufacturers also used hand powered sewing machines. It is true most hand powered sewing machines in the home found its user to be a seamstress or dressmaker rather than a male tailor. However, sewing machines are a prized piece of Americana because the hand powered sewing machine was a part of so many lives of both men and women. From seamstress and dressmaker to tailor and couturier, sewing clothing to stitching quilts, the hand powered sewing machine is a part of countless wonderful memories for many. Perhaps this is why the hand powered sewing machine is a favorite image frequently seen as wall decor in sewing rooms today. This hand powered sewing machine image is part of a collection of best seller images of Americana art belonging to an on going series of images of farms, sewing machines, outhouses, schoolhouses, churches, barns, birds, lighthouses plus Amish landscapes, buggies, and buildings created by Richard Neuman in his rural studio near McComb, Ohio. For 50 years Richard’s art has been continually evolving. During most of his early Americana work he used pens, brushes and watercolors. Each barn painting in this farm art series was created this way. Today he creates the images in these series using a computer. Richard has recently converted the Americana originals into digitized art of very high quality. In his studio many steps using Photoshop and several other computer art programs are blended together with fifty years of art experience to create this hand powered sewing machine image for you as a seamstress, tailor, couturier, dressmaker or quilter to enjoy in your sewing room or sewing business.

I was looking for a specific address label that would identify who I am and what I do. I found the perfect one in your selection. it lets people know that I am a sewer and a quilter. It is quite unique and has all the things associated with sewing. I would highly recommend it to other sewers and quilters. It is high quality paper with the right amount of sticky on the back. It had many colors that you could tell what each individual item was; such as, red for the pin cushion and black for the sewing machine. The printing is very legible with bold black lettering. It is complete and accurate down to the zip code.

These address labels were the perfect size for spice shakers. They coordinated with the Bridal Shower invitations and looked nice on the vintage style shakers. I was able to change the format and print the labels with information I wanted on it. The print looked great and they looked like mini chalkboards.
