Which Products Cannot Be Printed On Both Sides

At Zazzle we offer a vast selection of products, from clothing and accessories to home décor and stationery. While many of our products support printing on both sides, there are certain items that are not compatible with this feature.

Checking for Front and Back Areas in the Design Tool

Once you have selected your product, open the design tool and look at the previews on the Right Toolbar. There, you can check if the product has both a front and back designable area.

  • As shown in the image above, this product only has a designable area on the front.

  • As shown in the image above, you can design both the front and back of this product.

Moving Between the Back and Front Layers in the Design Tool

If there is a designable area on the back of the product as well as the front, you will be prompted to add a design on the back before you proceed to the ‘Review’ stage. When you have finished working on the front of the product, click ‘Next: Design Back’ to move from the front layer to the back layer.

Alternatively, click on either the ‘Front’ or ‘Back’ preview to swap between both layers.

Final Design Tip: Ensure Consistency Between Front and Back Designs<del>.</del>

When designing both the front and back of a product, it is important to ensure that your design is aligned properly on both sides. For instance, if your front design is oriented vertically, make sure the back design matches the same orientation to avoid any mismatched or awkward placements. To adjust the orientation of your design, click on the ‘Orientation’ button, pictured below. Overall, double-check that both sides align in terms of layout, size, and orientation to ensure a cohesive and professional look.
