About This Design

Highlanders Coffee Mug

This coffee mug design commemorates many of the long vanished kilted Highland Regiments that served in Victoria's many wars both great and small. Images from the www.soldiersofthequeen.com archives include those of the Black Watch (Royal Highlanders), the Seaforth Highlanders, the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and the Liverpool Scottish. These antique images are set against a background of the Black Watch tartan and features the anonymous "Highlander by the Grace of God" quote. It will hold coffee as well as the old 93rd (Sutherland Highlanders) held the line at Balaklava. It will hold a touch of the old single malt just as well.

This is a gorgeous mug that makes me feel as though I am outdoors in my Hosta garden, on a beautiful day in Spring! The printing is lovely and sharp just like my painting. I shall be displaying this mug at an exhibition soon!

I love these cups!! I'm glad I ordered them and would definitely order from here again. I got 50 cups and they came within a reasonable time frame.

I designed the mug for my sister because the Gauguin painting holds a special meaning for her. It arrived on time and the overall quality of the mug exceeded my expectations. Vibrant colors, true to the original. I just received, so I can't say how the colors will hold up over time.
