About This Design

Invitation - Ageratum

Ageratum is a beautiful and interesting flower that is known by many "common" names, including "floss flower", "fuzz flower", "billygoat weed", "chick weed", and "goatweed". Ageratum symbolizes politeness but is also thought to represent agelessness and ageless beauty. One of the fascinating things about ageratum is the REASON it's called things like "goatweed": there are some varieties that are said to smell as bad as an old billy goat. Visually, this stunning flower reminds me of sea anemones and is featured on this fabulous invitation. Be sure to customize the back to suit your special occasion.
