Jellybean Houses In St. John's Ceramic Ornament

This is the view of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador from the harbor. The brightly colored Victorian row houses are called "Jellybean Houses" or "Jelly Bean Row". Some people say the bright colors were used to counteract the foggy gray weather which is common in St. John's. Some believe that the houses used to be painted with the leftover paint from the fishing boats.
