Judges Highest Standards of Integrity Impartiality Garden Flag

“The Judiciary is entrusted to self-govern and, in doing so, must hold its federal judges to the highest standards of integrity and impartiality." Ninth Circuit Chief Circuit Judge Mary H. Murguia, July 8, 2024. We apply those high standards to federal district and circuit court judges, but fail to hold the justices of the highest court in the land, the Supreme Court, to that same standard. It's time for an ethics rule and enforcement mechanism with some teeth in it, and it's time to start impeaching justices who have been conducting themselves with the "highest standards of integrity and impartiality."
