King David's Harp Postcard

A digital rendering of an ancient Hebrew harp (Hebrew: כִּנּוֹר -kinnor). The exact identification of the kinnor is unclear,but it generally translated as "harp" or "lyre." It may be that the word "kinnor" referred to a number of stringed instruments. The kinnor pictured here conforms to some depicted in Israelite imagery, such as on coins minted during the Bar Kochba rebellion. The harp has been referred to as the national instrument of the Jewish people. Add your own text. You may choose another background color. In modern times reproduction kinnors have been constructed using Ibex horn. I have used that idea for this representation as King David hid from King Saul in caves at En Gedi where Ibex, the famous goats of En Gedi live.
