the lamp was adorable, and he was thrilled. in fact, he stayed in bed the morning after it was given to him, just so that he could use his new bedside lamp and read in bed. the quality seems solid, and the construction just right. i cannot comment on durability, since he only received it yesterday. the photo came out just a tiny bit darker than expected, but the printing was just fine.

I have purchased other similar lamps. I use them as extra light for guest's. They are inexpensive, easy to assemble and good height for reading. I like that there are many pre-made shades to choose from and that, like this one, you can use your own art. The only "con" is that the shade does heat, even with specified bulb. I would not leave it on all night. Printing is great. My granddaughter will be happy to see her artwork on her bedside table. The art does not cover the entire shade, but the background that shows can be matched easily.
