Mojo, a slang word for self-confidence, self-esteem or charisma. Is your mojo working?! Notes: I got Gris-gris for you! pronounced "Gree-Gree".
Gris-Gris, also spelled grigri, is a voodoo amulet originating in Africa which is believed to protect the wearer from evil or brings luck, and in some West African countries is used as a method of birth control. It consists of a small cloth bag, usually inscribed with verses and containing a ritual number of small objects, worn on the person.
Mojo is a term commonly encountered in the African-American folk belief called hoodoo. A mojo is an amulet consisting of a flannel bag containing one or more magical items. It is related to the West African word "mojuba," meaning a prayer of praise and homage. It is a "prayer in a bag," or a spell that can be carried with or on the host's body. Alternative American names for the mojo bag include hand, mojo hand, conjure hand, lucky hand, conjure bag, trick bag, root bag, toby, jomo, and gris-gris bag.
Although most Southern-style conjure bags are made of red flannel material, most seasoned conjurers use color-symbolism. This practice embodies itself in the practice of hoodoo, where green flannel is used for a money mojo, white flannel is used for a baby-blessing mojo, red flannel is used for love mojo, and so on. West Indians also use mojo bags, but often use leather instead of flannel.
Please note: because New Orleans is hosting the 2013 Super Bowl XLVII, Mardi Gras festivities will pause for
(AIEEE! We gon pass a good time here! , cher!) 9 days during the Carnival season, and then resume after the Super Bowl. Mardi Gras, or "Fat Tuesday", is the last day of the Carnival season as it always falls the day before Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. Most visitors will plan to arrive no later than Saturday, February 9, 2013 in order to enjoy an extended weekend of festivities.
Please Note: This design created in Corel Draw X-5-6 is up loaded @ 300dpi, and then reduced to a smaller size this makes the image and color appear blurred, it will not print that way, thanks. Bill
Mardi Gras colors. Rex selected the official Mardi Gras colors in 1872. The 1892 Rex Parade theme Symbolism of Colors gave meaning to the colors:purple represents justice; green, faith; and gold, power. Remember to wear the Mardi Gras colors of purple, green and gold during Mardi Gras whenever you're not in costume!

The existing design is already great but I like the idea that we can give it a twist to make it more personal. Glad that we can omit or change the RSVP print at the front and can add or stamp our own trademark to the existing design which made the finished product looked more personalise. With a little tweak here and there of the design, the finished product turned out perfectly great! I just hope you can add more sparkles to the border to make it more glittery. Thanks!

Loved it and got many compliments from recipients. Font was too small. Computer screen made it look much larger than the finished piece

I thought that the quality of the invited were phenomenal, the card stock was thick and I adore the matte finish. The only downside to a postcard style save the date was that some of the invited name got ripped off by the time they arrived. The colors were brilliant. The font packed it's own punch. I am so thankful to the artist who designed the gorgeous art for my save the dates.
