Mug - Never Forget the Badger Cull
The badger cull in Somerset and Gloucester during 2013 is something many people will never forget. Hundreds of badgers were killed after an order was made by the Coalition Government led by Prime Minister David Cameron and Deputy Nick Clegg. Thousands of people signed a petition requesting that the slaughter should not go ahead. But those in authority did not take any notice. Badgers can be vaccinated against bTB (Bovine Tuberculosis) whilst the UK waits for a cattle vaccine to become available. But despite all the scientific knowledge, the protests from animal groups as well as the general public, it was stated that badgers had to be 'culled' to help to stop the spread of the disease. Pat Williams created the 'Betrayed' badger artwork shown on this mug. It is used with permission and acknowledged with thanks as a picture often says a thousand words. This one certainly does. All profits from the sale of these mugs will go toward badger vaccination.

The design is gorgeous and I love the ability to customize the colors of the mug. I chose the two-tone mug with maroon to complement the design of the flowers and love how it turned out. I only wish I had made the handle colored too (the "combo" mug). Perfect gift for any occasion! The colors of the mug were gorgeous and the print was a decent quality. There was a little speck of gold that didn't print in big block letter of the name but I don't mind. I bought the item on sale (<$10) and for the price I paid I thought the quality was reasonable.
