How the baseball bats are made:

The trees are harvested and then sent to the mill to be cut, doweled, dried, and graded. During this process, the logs are split into round dowels and dried in a kiln to their correct moisture content levels.
A worker then places each piece into a lathe that shaves the rough edges off as it turns the wood.
After the bat is cut it is then inspected for knots and the straightness of grain & for blemishes.
Each bat goes then goes through a vigorous sanding phase where it's sanded several times to get the wood as smooth as possible.

In the finish room the bat is then stained with a clear coat and then sprayed on top with a stain to preserve and seal the color and grain as well as give it a shine. After it has completely dried, the bat is then ready to be laser engraved with your personalized information.

After the bat is laser engraved the final finish is then applied to enhance the engraving on the baseball bat. After the finish is applied it is then ready to be sent to the shipping department, where it is inspected one final time before it is packaged and shipped out.
