Not a friend? Kicked out again. Ceramic Tile

What a warm way to welcome (?) visitors... This was hand painted for my dad back in the 1960's. "Wie niet alse vriend hier binnenhuppled wordt er direct weer uit geknuppeld." My dad had an awful sense of humor, and also, he was an equally horrible poet. Because he couldn't find any thing that rhymed with the Dutch word for "comes in" and a light-hearted, in context, word for "kicked out," well, uh... "Anyone who doesn't come in here as a friend will immediately be clubbed out again." Yeah...none of our neighbors spoke Dutch fortunately, and my relatives just sighed a lot. You know. Full on facepalm. An inside Dutch language joke on your door, welcome mat, or just a giant obtuse flag that none of your neighbors will understand for your house. A twisted prank housewarming gift for someone; just make up your own translation and spring it on them years later. Great gift for the grumpy Dutch person you know. Or your grumpy self. Geknuppeld. C'moooon, dad... <facepalm>
