About This Design
Orchid Elegance
Orchid Elegance is a painting in traditional Chinese free style (Xie Yi) technique with ink on rice paper.
The orchid used to represent good taste and beauty in Chinese traditional culture. They symbolize elegance, nobility and self-respect. They also belongs to the "Four Gentlemen of Chinese Painting" - the plum blossom, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum and represent one of the four seasons!
Artists are using the same techniques as in calligraphy, therefor the image is not really painted but rather written.
In China the calligraphy always belong to the painting. It’s like the signature from the artist.
This one is without the original calligraphy!
You can also buy it with the calligraphy! Check out my gallery.

Flat Card, Size: 5" x 7", Paper: Signature Matte, Corner: Squared, Envelopes: Blank White Envelopes, Print Quality: Standard
Purchasing a card on Zazzle feels like an artistic collaboration. I was able to personalize the front and create exactly what I envisioned on the back, using Zazzle's image library and my own little poem. My 3 year old grandson, who is obsessed with trucks, loved it! Quality of the card stock, printing, color, etc., were exceptional. 5+++

This was such a cute idea and I’m obsessed with how it turned out.
It was later than expected, but I reached out and they were willing to hear me out and made me feel better about that! Customer service - 10/10. The print quality was top notch. I want to keep it forever.
