The SS Maheno was washed ashore on Fraser Island in Queensland by a cyclone in 1935. During her life as an ocean liner, she was also used as a New Zealand hospital ship during World War One. For more than 80 years the SS Maheno has sat deteriorating on the Pacific coastline of Fraser Island. The PACIFIC SHIPWRECK fleece blanket is a beautiful colorful image appreciating the beauty of Fraser Island as well as the wreck of the SS Maheno.

We made this blanket for my parents 50th wedding anniversary rather than a birthday. We got eight of them one for each of my parents and a blanket for each sibling as a commemoration gift. I was worried the pictures would look blurry or pixelated but the quality was so great and the blanket is very soft. It's thinner but cozy. Really happy with this! .
