"Paris Patisseries" Postcard

Original oil painting by California artist, Susan Payne-Trutna. I love painting Paris and I have a weakness for its delectable sweets. The art and craft of pastry making is at its peak displayed on the counter of at 21 rue Bonaparte, 75006. Of course there are rows and rows of macaroons ...salted caramel, pistachio and other exotic flavors ready to be put in beautiful pastel boxes and signature shopping bags. For special events creates towering pyramids of chocolate macaroons! I always buy macaroons when I finally arrive at the front of the long line, but next time I promise to try one of the lemon or raspberry tarts or completely throw caution to the wind and order a two tiered pastry called religieuse made with rose petals or violets.
