About This Design

Paul McGehee "Moonlit Run" Card

A nautical note card by the award-winning artist Paul McGehee. "Moonlit Run" depicts the famous Wilson Line excursion steamboat "State of Delaware" passing the Seven Foot Knoll lighthouse on a moonlit evening in 1931. The "State of Delaware" was a familiar sight for years on the Delaware River, and in the early 1930's on the Chesapeake Bay out of Baltimore Harbor. "State of Delaware" was unique in its day: she had a full-size movie screen on her top deck! Imagine...sailing down the Chesapeake on this beautiful steamboat, gazing up at the stars, while watching the latest movie! "Moonlit Run" is a real piece of maritime history. Each card comes with envelope.

I purchased two sets of my own cards for a facebook giveaway. They were great quality and the winners of the giveaway were very pleased with them, saying they did not want to send them out but keep them for their own. .

I enjoy checking Nan's cards and usually order some to send to friends - they are always fun. No issues - exactly as expected
