I found this peacock at the LA Botanical Gardens. He was herding several peahens around by shaking and displaying his incredible feathers. As the peacock ran in circles, so did I, throwing myself flat on the ground with my camera ready every time I thought I was in good position. By the time I finally captured this image, I had gathered a large crowd around me, highly amused by the lengths I would go to and the amount of abuse I would suffer to get my shot. I used a slight amount of fill flash to bring out the vivid colors of the subject. - Wayne G
