Adding a return address is a smart decision because if your item can't be delivered due to damage, incorrect address issues, or getting lost, the postal service can easily return it to you, the sender. Put a single-sided return address label in the top-left corner, as most sorting machines scan the front.

Mail with no return address that can't be delivered is routinely recycled or destroyed at mail sorting facilities. Larger items like packages that are assumed to have monetary value are held for a designated time, and if no sender is identified, they can eventually be sold at public auction.

Both single-sided and wraparound return address labels will have space for around 3 lines, starting with the name, followed by the street address, and with the state and zip code on the final line. The number of lines and characters of text you can fit on a return address label will depend on the font size you choose. The customizable design area measures 2.25 inches in length and 0.75 inches in width for single-sided labels, and 7.25 inches in length and 1 inch in width for Classic wraparound labels, with the latter giving you more room to combine two addresses or an address and a greeting. Yes, Zazzle's return address labels are compatible with inkjet printers if you want to print the address on them yourself. If using this method, ensure to select Microsoft Word Template 6870 when formatting the text, as our labels are comparable to Avery® labels. Visit our custom labels to view blank templates or, in the design tool, remove any text from a product template before you add it to your cart. Then you can feed the labels with just the design elements into your printer. Our labels also have a matte finish if you need to hand-write anything on them.

Our single-sided return address label sheets measure 8.5 inches in length and 11 inches in width, with 30 labels per sheet. Wraparound labels will be printed on sheets of 24.
