This lamp is simple and sturdy. The cable is black, discrete and the switch (attached to the cord) is robust. I recommend using a compact fluorescent bulb in it to ensure a nice even spread of light. The colours printed on linen were paler than those depicted on the website. Also, the artwork didn't wrap perfectly at the seam- despite the artwork being very precise. These flaws aside, the end result is still very pleasing. The linen gives the lampshade a textured finish..
