Molted feather from a companion bird, raised from an egg. Collected, washed in protective soap and laid out by hand to dry in a breezeless room. I photograph the plume with a Nikor macro lens and massaged it in PhotoShop to show all its natural perfection. From Lewis Mark Grimes "Feather Rishi Collection."

Using molted feathers is a brilliant idea because it conserves avian wildlife while recycling. The time has come to protect birds from extinction and I am doing my part as designer behind BeFeathered. The pattern you see here is a blanket designed with the Reeves feather. What strikes me most about this card on opening the envelope is the stunning color and the beautiful close up. The card itself lends it to a feel good touch as well so its a lot of senses perked! My customers like it as well! The color is stunning! The closeup is very nicely detailed and just perfectly awesome! Could not ask for better printing!
