Stone Church Tower Ceramic Tile
Painting of an old stone church tower in Portland, Maine. The tower was part of St. Lawrence church, which was built in the Romanesque style in 1897. The church tower was an architectural landmark. It deteriorated over the years and unfortunately the church's bell tower and sanctuary had to be taken down in 2008. This painting depicts the tower in the early 2000's before the tower was demolished. The main part of the church still exists as a performing arts center.

From the pictures we needed to replace two tiles that had the old toothbrush and soap dish and the tile guy said two tiles would have to be removed. The tiles were PERFECT! just a slight color difference to the naked eye but they match pretty darn good. Tile guy had to shave the back because the 1957 tile was thinner but as you can see it worked out great! We are elated over the moon happy, Thank you!
