BeanBlossomMusicPark

I wrote a history of the music park which was published by the University of Illinois Press in 2011. It is entitled "Bean Blossom: The Brown County Jamboree and Bill Monroe's Bluegrass Festivals." Because of my years of research into the park's long history, I have many images and photos from that venerable park (which had been owned by "Father of Bluegrass Music" BILL MONROE from 1952 up until his death in 1996, and began this store to make available some products built on a remarkable image: a photo taken by my friend Sue Galbraith in 1985, showing Bill Monroe on the "old outdoor stage" at Bean Blossom, dancing while his band -- the Blue Grass Boys -- played a spirited instrumental. The original photo was a bit "soft" in focus, so with Sue's permission I digitally manipulated it, and that image is now available through this store as a poster and as various other products. ENJOY!
