I'm a self taught artist who began drawing and painting following the death of my best friend when I was twenty years old. I began using art as a way to cope with my sadness at the time. Since then I've dealt with bouts of depression, anxiety, and addiction through much of my twenties and throughout all of that time I never stopped creating. I'd like to think that my artwork is a perfect example of how you can find pleasure in pain. It took years for me to put a word on what I had been doing artistically for all these years, as now I'm 34 years old, and it just felt right to call it "HeArtwork." And truth is, all of my artwork comes directly from my heart. My hope is that it reaches someone who might be struggling with similar things that I've dealt with and maybe it makes them feel a little less alone and hopefully puts a smile on their face. I love people. All people. I think it's important to spread love and be kind to each other, especially in the world we live in today. So, I suppose this is my attempt at spreading my love to people all over the world.
