Keep The Shore Golden is a campaign to encourage east coast beach towns to keep seaside goldenrod in their yards. Goldenrod is an important nectar source for southern migrating monarchs in fall. Seaside goldenrod is a dune stabilizer and provides food and shelter for birds, insects and small mammals. Goldenrod is often confused with weeds/ragweed, but its heavy pollen is not carried by wind and is not responsible for allergies.
