About
It started with pretty blush pink edits of classic works to make them coordinate with a soft romantic decor theme, so the name refers to seeing those first projects literally through rose-tinted glasses. It also refers to, of course when we see something as more beautiful than it is and ignore the parts of something that we don't want to see. At the risk of sounding blasphemous to the art world, (I'm not really concerned with that) to me this also includes my cropped edits of well known art to make it suit modern decor and help integrate it into interior design in a way that the originals would not be included. I think that it is about seeing something a hundred or hundreds of years old through a different lense, and seeing it perhaps sometimes a bit more beautifully. It is not intended as an insult to the original works which are suited to museums and formal displays for the most part. I just see that they could be viewed in a different light that will bring these classic works into view on a daily basis. It can help them be known and remembered by people who might not have, and also create the curiosity to look up the originals created long ago.
