I’m Adam Tarshis, a photographer living in Chicago, Illinois. When taking photographs, I look at color, lighting and composition, as well as overall aesthetics. Many of my shots are in outdoor settings that try to capture a moment of surprising beauty. For indoor subjects, I tend to shoot unexpected objects that you wouldn’t normally think are interesting, but because of the composition of shapes and colors, result in an unexpectedly interesting photograph—often with a sense of whimsy and fun.
