Entitled “Sun Bear” came to be through the most unexpected way. One day I was traveling through the Reservation and decided to stop and pay my respects to the old ones buried at the Wounded Knee site. While there I saw a young man who was selling dream catches he had made. He was about 16, and his name was Sun Bear. As I stood there and talked to him, I was very impressed with the determination and resilience of this young man. When I had left and got back home I wanted to design something that embraced the name of this man; Sun Bear, and show the strength and healing the name he carried had. I always keep one of these designs in my bag, in hope that I see him again and thank him for the inspiration he gave me. In the mist of confusion, he showed me clarity and understanding without words "…… Melvin War Eagle.

The dainty interlinked rosette design at the waist is truly unique. The poly-spandex makes for a nice fit and available in sizes 0-16. The printing is vibrant and eye-catching.

A true fashion statement! I've been getting lots of compliments both in gym and outside. Can be dressed up with a pair of heels or worn at the gym as a truly unique sports garment. The material is high quality and conforms nicely to the body. For those who are looking at US sizes, I advise to consider the hip measurements or take one size up (I am a US 4 but the M fits perfectly). The printing is excellent! Turned out much better than I expected. The black is printed on a white base which is why it has a subtle whitish reflection at creases or on light. I wish the base was black but, of course, the white printing of the artwork would not have been possible.
