I don't know when it happens, but at some part of growing up, whether we "like" ballet or not, Christmas has an immediate association with the Nutcracker Ballet. Being related to many ballerinas in my extended family, I know this to be very true!! As little girls many of us dream of being Clara and getting to dance with the Nutcracker.
