The pineapple has for some time been celebrated in the decorative arts - especially at the time when they were considered quite exotic and you'd need to be pretty posh and cashed up to afford one. In more recent times the pineapple has made a resurgence in home decor. I do love the geometric patterns and fountain of overflowing leaves - they cry out to the artist for attention. Great price for a very nice product. Arrived a day early - unheard of these days. The outside gold area has a little more orange tone to it than shown in the picture. Great packing so product can't get damaged. I used the same packing to forward the clock to my brother and sister-on-law for the 50th wedding anniversary. Printing was just as expected - lovely!
