this vintage death art is " the Sentimental Initiation by Felicien Rops" circa 1887. It is an unusual amalgam with symbolic meaning. Here a partially dressed skeletal woman archer wearing a black bustier/corset with a robe slipping down her legs is standing with her back to us atop moth wings set upon a skeletal pelvis. while she is holding a severed head in one hand and her bow in the other with a tree on a blue background off in the distance. The whole thing makes for a distinctive and uniquely macabre design sure to drawl attention to its details.
