Triumphal Arch Magnet

Triumphal Arch (Arcul de Triumf), Bucharest, Romania The Triumphal Arch is currently located in the northern part of the Romanian capital. The first structure was constructed in 1922 to the coronation of King Ferdinand. The arch, designed by Petre Antonescu wasn't finished completely and it was covered with wooden panels. The first arch was demolished in 1935 and Petre Antonescu built the current structure. Texts and reliefs referring to the Romanian royal family were removed during the Communist regime.
