It can be found in riffle and boulder areas in relatively small upland streams to larger deeper rivers and lakes. It feeds on insects, crayfish, shrimp, and small fishes. It can reach a maximum length of 85 cm (33.5 inches) and can reach a maximum published weight of 16 kg ( 35.3 pounds). It is considered a vulnerable species.

The design is gorgeous and I love the ability to customize the colors of the mug. I chose the two-tone mug with maroon to complement the design of the flowers and love how it turned out. I only wish I had made the handle colored too (the "combo" mug). Perfect gift for any occasion! The colors of the mug were gorgeous and the print was a decent quality. There was a little speck of gold that didn't print in big block letter of the name but I don't mind. I bought the item on sale (<$10) and for the price I paid I thought the quality was reasonable.
