Vintage - Awkward Snow Skiing Couple,

Vintage artwork by Arthur Thiele depicts a comical scene on the slopes where a couple is snow skiing. The woman is either a novice or has gotten herself out of control on her skiis. In an attempt to stay upright and come to a stop, she grabs the man around the neck, pulling his head back and covering his eyes so that he can't see where he's headed. He sideswipes a fence, but her skiis are headed right into the fence. Other skiiers around them look on in disbelief. The German artist, Carl Robert Arthur Thiele (1860-1936) commonly went by the name Arthur Thiele. He was an illustrator of books, sheet music and postcards.
