Voyager Map T-Shirt
Launched in 1977, the Voyager spacecraft is now far outside our solar system. Aboard this vessel, we attached a message: a golden record packed with information about earth and its inhabitants. Engraved on the back of the record were playing instructions, as well as a universally understandable map pointing towards our solar system. This map, printed on the back of the shirt, locates Sol relative to detected pulsars and the center of the galaxy. The frequency of each pulsar is noted in binary code. The diagram on the front of the shirt represents the hyperfine transition of hydrogen, defining the base unit of time.
