Telling Herstory: On November 5, 1893, Willa Cather, still a University of Nebraska student, began writing for the Nebraska State Journal. Her column “One Way of Putting It” appeared regularly with small stories of life as she knew it. She also wrote theater and music reviews that showed she was a tough to please critic. Stories in her column show the blossoming of the storyteller as she is remembered today.
