About This Design

William Morris Antique Pomegranate Pattern Scarf

This is a digitally enhanced print derived from an antique 1877 Pomegranate textile pattern designed by William Morris. William Morris was a Victorian era poet, novelist, textile designer and an important figure of the British Arts and Crafts Movement. His designs had a medieval-inspired aesthetic and respect for hand-craftsmanship and traditional textile arts. He was a founding figure of Morris & Co., and Kelmscott Press. He was friends to many Pre-Raphaelite artists such as Edward Burne-Jones and Dante Gabriel Rossetti. You can customize the size of the pattern.

I created this scarf using one of my abstract paintings as the design. I am delighted with the results! The colors reproduced beautifully and the chiffon fabric is soft and silky. I have one for myself and gave another one as a gift. The recipient LOVES it! Colors printed beautifully.

The scarf is silky-soft chiffon, a beautiful accessory and fashion accent. The design, created from my watercolor painting, makes this a lovely piece of "wearable art.". Colors from my watercolor painting printed beautifully on the scarf.

Can’t wait to give this as a gift at Christmas. The design work is absolutely stunning! And the quality of the scarf itself is very nice. Just as pictured….love the way the print transferred to this chiffon fabric.
