The print on this product is called Seaweed. It was designed by John Henry Dearle as a wallpaper pattern for Morris and Company, a company owned by William Morris. Dearle was a talented designer who started out as an apprentice under William Morris and later rose to the position of chief textile designer at Morris and Company. Some of the firm's most beautiful woven textiles were created under his leadership.

The teapot became a special anniversary keepsake my brother and his wife raved about. Just the way I ordered it. I probably should have made the lettering a little darker, or white to stand out against the sky in the photos, but it turned out well.
