The windmill is a universal symbol of life, hope, serenity and resilience. My great grandfather settled in rural Marion county in the late 1800's. He traveled by covered wagon with his wife and young children searching for a better life on the prairie. These windmill capture, in rural Marion county is the essence of the beauty our forefathers saw when they decided to settle here.
