Each and Every kitty in this calendar is a rescue kitty that has been fostered by my "bestest" friend (it's a Southern thing) - Kathy. Matilda, Kate, Mona Lisa, Dolce, and Gypsy's babies came with their mommas -- who were neighborhood strays. Wyatt and Suki were trapped as little kittens. Swamp Thing (a.k.a. Dunkin) was also trapped as a kitten, the gal that trapped him spent days crawling through a swamp to save his tiny little paws. Little Louie was named after High Dive Greg Louganis - as friends of mine watched this tiny kitten just a couple weeks old take a high dive from the sky and land unscathed in their yard (dropped by a hawk? we don't know). Confetti (and her siblings) came to Kathy as 2 day old kittens rescued from a car lot. Each of these kitties either has already found a marvelous Forever Home or will find a Marvelous Forever home thanks to the tireless efforts of Rescue Workers like my friend Kathy.
