Courtney Mason
Location: Miami Beach, FL Job: Illustrator/Graphic Designer Contact: www.punky-chicken.com Software: Illustrator/ Photoshop Represented in Europe by Lemonaid Illustration Background info: Courtney is a graduate of the College for Creative Studies and has studied classes ranging from graphic design to photography and painting. Mostly, her true love lay with the creation of digital art and design. Courtney's illustrations are typically figurative, incorporating organic forms found throughout nature. As a child she was always interested in art and design, drawling and painting things that she saw and felt. It wasn’t until she had her first lesson in graphic design that she truly knew what she wanted to do with her life. What or who are your inspirations for your work? Recently it is hard to look any where without being inspired. We live in a world where art has become such a large part of our everyday lives. All that surrounds her is constantly inspiring Courtney, the love and support in her life is what drives her to continually reinvent herself. Tell me about your illustrations/designs? Courtney’s illustrations are typically figurative, incorporating organic forms found throughout nature. Her designs are usually made in Illustrator and Photoshop with the use of many layers and intricate lines. She is always trying to create designs that evoke emotion and thought. Anything else fun or inspirational you’d like to share? A wise man once told me “if you love what you are doing then you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” There is nothing in the world that Courtney would rather be doing. “I feel extremely fortunate to have found the one thing that I truly love doing. I wake up every morning excited about creating art and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for my life as an artist.” After graduating from the College for Creative Studies, Courtney married her college sweetheart and joined forces with Philip to create Studio Jellyfish (http://studiojellyfish.com). This collaboration brings together the talent and experience of two successful artists into one extremely powerful company. With clients from all sides of the globe: Nokia, Motorola, Sony BMG, VH1, Rockstar Games; Studio Jellyfish intends to bring ultra-quality artwork to every project. |
