I have unique and original photographs and artwork from vacations, travel and work throughout the country. I travel various regions and photograph interesting subjects of nature, landscape, architecture and places of interest. My specialty is the East Coast, especially the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states.

RECENT EVENTS_______________________

OUTER BANKS, NC I took an Advanced Wilderness & Expedition Medicine course in Morganton, NC (home of the Linville Gorge and Table Rock) for four days, and after completing the course I took a 6 hour drive to Cape Hatteras in the Outer Banks. I have lighthouse pictures HERE

MARYLAND LIGHTHOUSE CHALLENGE: A weekend in September is dedicated to open lighthouse tours of coastal lights in MD. Sept 19 & 20, 2009 I did the entire tour (10 lighthouses, 1 lightship and sailed on a skipjack)!. Visit HERE for pictures from the 2009 trip. I'll be adding for the next couple weeks.

ORLANDO, FL: (August 18 - 21, 2009) A short conference trip to a major theme park in FL provided a limited opportunity to take photos of Wildlife. Fireworks also.

ASSATEAGUE & CHINCOTEAGUE ISLANDS. The famous Chincoteague Ponies were up close and a great subject to photograph. I also have pictures of Sika Deer ("Miniature Elk") and other wildlife of Assateague Island.

Cape Cod, MA. (April 20th - April 23) One word for the trip - RAIN! The good news is that it stopped for a few hours every day which allowed for some good photo ops! Beaches, lighthouses, a harbor, and also some wildlife. I stopped on the way home at Mystic Seaport, CT for a visit and have shots from that area also, including ships, a shipyard, and other seaport scenes. WASHINGTON, D.C. The Cherry Blossom Festival occurs annually around the first week of April, when the 3,750 cherry trees blossom around the tidal basin adjacent to the Potomac River. The plantings of cherry trees originated in 1912 as a gift of friendship to the People of the United States from the People of Japan. Pictures from this trip can be found HERE.

LONGWOOD GARDENS, Longwood, PA (Chester County) A world class facility, today Longwood Gardens consists of 20 outdoor gardens and 20 indoor gardens within 4 acres of heated greenhouses, known as conservatories. It contains 11,000 different types of plants and flowers. It hosts 800 horticultural and performing arts events each year, from flower shows, gardening demonstrations, courses, and children’s programs to concerts, organ and carillon recitals, musical theatre, fountain shows, and fireworks displays. It also hosts an extensive Christmas light display during the holiday season. I visited during their Orchid Extravaganza & Sale in late March 2009. Visit HERE for my pictures. LEHIGH VALLEY ZOO, Schnecksville, PA. If you live near the Lehigh Valley you owe yourself to visit and support this local zoo! NEW: African Penguins! There is plenty to see and do here and I have the latest pictures!

MIDDLE CREEK. The Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area, located on the Lebanon-Lancaster, PA county line is a special tract owned and set aside by the Pennsylvania Game Commission for the protection, propagation, management, preservation and controlled harvest of wildlife. This area includes a 400-acre shallow lake and 70 acres of impoundments. In November and from late February to late March are great times to photograph the flocks of beautiful tundra swans and snow geese that stop in Pennsylvania during migration. March 11, 2009 was a good day to see about 60,000 snow geese and a few tundra swans (most swans had taken off the day before and were seen in Western PA heading toward Lake Erie). I had the pleasure of observing the entire flock (60,000) take off all at once... the sight and sound were awesome - and I have pictures!!! Visit HERE for latest pictures from this trip.

DELAWARE SEASHORE STATE PARK, Rehoboth Beach, DE. Water, water everywhere describes Delaware Seashore State Park. Bounded on the east by the mighty Atlantic Ocean, and on the west by Rehoboth Bay and Indian River Bay, the 2825-acre park is a beach-goer's delight. I have pictures of lighthouses, dunes, beach birds, etc. A rare warm day in March was a great day for this day trip.

LEHIGH CANAL BOAT: We visited the Lehigh Canal Boat and took a trip on the Mule Drawn Boat. This is a historic site dedicated to the people who transported anthracite coal from the coal regions by canal boat to varoius areas along the Lehigh and Delaware Rivers.
