Chromosome Disorder Outreach, Inc. (CDO) is a non-profit organization founded in 1992. CDO offers emotional support to individuals and families and provides detailed information on the rarest of chromosome disorders. Sometimes these disorders are so unusual that doctors tell patients, “You’re the only one out there."

By joining CDO and participating in our many outreach and networking programs though families know they are NOT alone and help is available to them.

Utilizing our chromosome analysis specific web application CDO now has the capability to accurately categorize chromosomal karyotypes and finally begin to understand more about the genes involved in each rare chromosome rearrangement. We hope to eventually improve specifically tailored treatments to help affected individuals.

Please read our Introduction to Chromosomes on the CDO website to learn more about these very rare disorders. CDO has been helping patients diagnosed with rare chromosome disorders for almost 20 years. Our members live around the world and CDO provides a network of support and information through an extensive library of available up-to-date articles, detailed registry, newsletters, and a listserv that’s online 24 hours a day, everyday. Please join us. Your support of CDO will help promote research and a better understanding of rare chromosome disorders.
